templobe transcribes English audio files with models that run on your Mac, not in a cloud. Sign in once to activate it, then it keeps working with Wi-Fi off. Your audio is never uploaded, and transcription is free for beta users.

For audio that should not leave the room.
templobe is a good fit if you…
record confidential interviews, client calls or research sessions
work in places with unreliable or no internet
want to keep audio and transcripts on one machine
need batch processing without a cloud queue
use an Apple silicon Mac and can work in English today
templobe is not the right tool if you…
need real-time transcription while audio is playing
need speaker labels or speaker diarization
need multiple languages today
need video files transcribed directly
need team collaboration or cloud backup
Online once. Offline after that.
01
Sign in and download models
Create one activation account and download the speech models. This is the only step that needs a connection.
02
Transcribe on your Mac
Add English mp3, wav or m4a files and let the local model run. Audio stays on the machine, and batch work continues without a server.
03
Keep it local
Review transcripts in the local library and export as txt, md, srt or vtt. Delete a file when you are done; no copy is stored elsewhere.
Offline transcription questions.
Does templobe need internet?
Only for the first sign-in and the model download. After that, transcription works offline, including in airplane mode.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. Speech recognition runs on your Mac with local models. There is no upload step in the product.
How can it work offline?
The speech models are installed on your Mac. Transcription happens on the machine instead of on a remote server.
Do I need an account?
Yes, one account to activate the app. It is not used for transcription and never sees your audio.
What happens if my connection drops mid-batch?
Transcription runs locally, so an internet drop does not stop a batch that has already started.
Which languages are supported?
English today. More languages are on the roadmap.
Can it label speakers?
Not yet. Speaker labels are not available in this beta.
Is it free?
Transcription is free for beta users, permanently. Future paid features are optional add-ons.
